A $5m project on a
steep site and narrow access
A lump sum Design and Construct extension and complete renovation of a dilapidated 1900s guest house.
It has been converted into a purpose built 26 room boarding house. A $5m project on a challenging steep site with only a narrow lane for access. The project is now home to 26 elderly residents, which were at risk of homelessness. They enjoy the ease of access, security, and comfort of the carefully and thoughtfully design and built, fully compliant facility, that promotes community and a homely feel.
A tight 9 month programme
This while being very low build cost per m2, robust, low maintenance and energy efficient. This project was completed on programme and in 9 months. A credit to our project team given the site constraints, latent conditions, requirements for significant hazardous materials removal and remediation, along with poor weather in the upper Blue Mountains. Our Client Anglicare should be commended for providing such an amazing service to the local community.
